Chelsea eye 'AMBITIOUS' Man City swoop
Chelsea are eyeing a surprise move for Manchester City superstar Ruben Dias, according to shock reports.
The Portugal international has established himself as one of the world’s elite defenders since joining Pep Guardiola’s side in 2020, but he will have just two years remaining on his current contract at the Etihad Stadium next summer.
Furthermore, Guardiola’s uncertain future and the looming verdict of the club’s 115 alleged financial breaches mean several first-team stars are becoming unsettled at Man City.

That is according to Chelsea journalist Simon Phillips, who claims that Dias has now emerged as a genuine centre-back target for the Blues.
Chelsea lost Thiago Silva on a free transfer during the summer window and while the club are continuing to scour the globe for the best young talents in world football, they are reportedly monitoring Dias’ situation at Man City as they ponder a potential swoop in 2025.
The 27-year-old has won four Premier League titles during his time at the Etihad Stadium and while it’s been claimed that Chelsea’s attempt to sign Dias is ‘ambitious’, the west London club are keen to assess whether a deal is possible.

Chelsea added both Tosin Adarabioyo and Boca Juniors youngster Aaron Anselmino to their centre-back ranks during the summer window, but they remain interested in a number of defensive targets, including RB Leipzig’s Castello Lukeba.
However, Dias has now emerged as a possible target and the west London giants are set to eye a move in 2025.
Trevoh Chalobah will return from his loan spell at Crystal Palace next summer, but the Englishman appears to have no place in Enzo Maresca’s long-term plans, while Axel Disasi has also been linked with a departure in recent weeks.
Enzo Maresca: “I’m in love with Fofana”
Despite Chelsea’s reported interest in Dias, Maresca recently admitted his “love” for Blues defender Wesley Fofana.
He recently told the official Chelsea website: “Wes is a player that I really love, I am in love with Wes!
“He is doing fantastic after one year injured and, for any player in the world, when you are out for one year and then you come back it is not easy, and he is doing top. This is the only thing we want from him.”
