Erling Haaland appears ready to commit his long-term future to Manchester City – at least if his house-hunting plans with partner Isabel Haugseng Johansen are anything to go by.

Haaland signed for City from Borussia Dortmund in 2022 but speculation has since raged that his long-term plans could take him elsewhere, with reports that he could leave for either Real Madrid or Barcelona.

The Norway international, though, would seem to have little interest in leaving Manchester after he was spotted looking at a £3.5 million property owned by a fellow Premier League star along with girlfriend Isabel.

The Sun reports that the Chesire mansion has six bedrooms and six reception rooms, along with its own gym, swimming pool and steam room and sauna. Built in 2017, it is just a five-minute drive from the home of City teammate Jack Grealish, who is a good friend of Haaland.

Southampton striker Danny Ings is selling the property that he viewed.

Presently, the striker lives in a rented home in Alderley Edge, but the fact that he is looking to buy locally would suggest that he plans on staying in the area longer than his current Man City contract, which runs until 2027.

The Sun quotes an unnamed source as having said: “Haaland has always kept his cards close to his chest about his future plans on the pitch.

“When he first moved to Manchester, he moved into a flat, and then more recently, he has been living at the rented property.

“But the fact he’s looking to splash some cash could mean he’s thinking about staying at City long-term, which is good news for City fans and bad news for everyone else.”

What houses does Haaland own?

Haaland is known to already have a significant property portfolio, with a £6m mansion in Marbella fuelling the suggestion that he could one day leave for Barcelona or Real Madrid because he is known to enjoy Spain and its culture.

On top of this, he also has a three-bedroom apartment in Oslo worth £2.6m.
