The Brazilian has been named on the substitutes bench in every Premier League match so far this campaign and he has been heavily linked with an exit during the January transfer window.

Antony has just 12 goals and five assists in 86 Man Utd games, and the club are reportedly eager to cut their losses on the €95 million transfer flop as soon as possible.

The ex-Brazil international will have two years remaining on his current Red Devils contract when the 2025 summer transfer window opens, but his form since moving to England could well dissuade suitors from lodging an attractive offer.

However, Ten Hag appears to have lost all faith in his former Ajax pupil and his career at Man Utd has completely stalled.

Antony’s Man Utd career is over

Ten Hag played a pivotal role in Antony’s arrival in 2022, and after showing flashes of potential during his first two years at Old Trafford, he has become surplus to requirements this season.

Antony has been an unused substitute in seven of Man Utd’s 10 games in all competitions so far this campaign, with his only start coming in the 7-0 win over Barnsley in the Carabao Cup.

In total, he has tallied just 49 minutes of action across three appearances in the Premier League and Europa League in 2024-25, with his Man Utd career now at an all-time low.

Ajax, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United have all been linked with a move for Antony over the past few weeks, although it remains to be seen if they opt to lodge a bid in 2025.

Meanwhile, his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) has plummeted to just €26.3m amid his lack of form and minutes at Man Utd.
