Red alert for Arsenal as €40m star dragged away from Arteta

Arsenal face the prospect of missing out on Omar Marmoush with the news that a more suitable club for the Eintracht Frankfurt striker has come into the running.

Mikel Arteta’s side have primarily faced competition from Liverpool for the Egypt international attacker, who has 15 goals and 11 assists across the Bundesliga and Europa League this season.

Now, though, Fichajes reports that PSG are chasing Marmoush, who has become one of the hottest properties on the transfer market ahead of January and is valued by his club around the €40 million mark.

The Ligue 1 side are chasing additional firepower, with Randal Kolo-Muani, who reportedly forms part of a six-man shortlist for Arsenal, one of the players who could be on his way out. The France international does not apparently fit into Luis Enrique’s plans.

Marmoush, on the other hand, is seen as an “ideal” candidate because of his “ability to get wide, his finishing and his vision”.

PSG are now described as the “favourites” to land the striker.
