Chelsea secured an 8-0 win over Noah in the Conference League on Thursday to set themselves up perfectly for Sunday’s Premier League clash with Arsenal.

Enzo Maresca saw his side continue their stellar form with a comprehensive win over the Armenian outfit, with six different players on target as they strolled to their biggest win of the season.

It was a squad assembled for just under €500 million and yet every single one of the players who took to the field during the clash could well find themselves on the bench for Sunday’s derby clash with Arsenal.

In what was a remarkable show of squad depth from Chelsea, the likes of Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku both played prominently against Noah, each scoring two goals, but may well be substitutes for the big Premier League match against rivals Arsenal.

The Portuguese has the possibility of featuring from the start against the Gunners – but only if Cole Palmer does not recover from an injury in time.

Otherwise, Maresca’s squad is likely to be given a complete overhaul to face an Arsenal team that has been stretched by injury of late and was forced to play a tough Champions League match against Inter Milan in midweek, going down 1-0 in Italy.

'Mindblowing' Chelsea depth

“Potentially none of the starting XI out there tonight will start against Arsenal,” Don Hutchinson said on TNT Sports. “It’s mind-blowing.

“Arsenal had to play hard as well. They had to go to San Siro and play intense football, and that’s key as well.

“The Chelsea XI potentially will all be rested for that game. And it makes for a really fascinating match, especially for Arsenal because they’re starting to get to the point when if they can’t put a run together, Manchester City and Liverpool might just get away from them and the title race for them, potentially, will be nearly over.”

Chelsea go into this Premier League clash with Arsenal ahead of their rivals, albeit only on goal difference with both locked on 18 points.
