Romano with Amorim to Man Utd ‘SEALED’ update
Fabrizio Romano has provided the latest update on Ruben Amorim’s move to become Manchester United’s next manager.
Amorim, who is currently the head coach at Sporting CP, is widely expected to take command of the Old Trafford club during the November international break, with Man Utd reticent to pay an additional fee to waive the 30-day notice period of the 39-year-old.
Until then, Ruud van Nistelrooy will be in charge of the Red Devils, having guided them to a 5-2 win over Leicester City in the EFL Cup on Wednesday after Erik ten Hag’s sacking on Monday.
Meanwhile, football transfer news expert Romano has outlined exactly where Man Utd are in the process of capturing Amorim from Sporting.
Taking to X, he tweeted: “Manchester United and Sporting have prepared all documents for Ruben Amorim's move to be sealed in the next days.
“Same on manager side as Amorim will sign at Man Utd until June 2027, as planned.
“Formal steps to follow soon.”

Van Nistelrooy in Ten Hag talks
For now, Ten Hag’s influence continues to be felt at the club, with the former Ajax boss having spoken to Van Nistelrooy prior to the Leicester win.
“I spoke to him yesterday before the game,” Van Nistelrooy admitted on Thursday during his pre-match press conference for the fixture against Chelsea.
“Obviously, he is very disappointed and touched because he really cared for the club.
“I said also yesterday, in the first conversation we had for me to come back to the club with him I really felt that he cared and loved the club and wanted to bring this club forward and that's why we connected.
“That’s why he’s also hurt that he had to leave but also proud of his achievements here with the two cups and obviously the history that he’s leaving with that.”
Van Nistelrooy is set to be without eight first-team players for Man Utd’s Premier League clash on Sunday against Chelsea as they seek to move clear of 14th in the standings.
