Liverpool brace for 'record' Saudi offer for Salah
Liverpool are set to contend with a huge contract offer from the Saudi Pro League for Mohamed Salah, according to reports.
It's thought that the wage could even eclipse Cristiano Ronaldo's pay packet at Al-Nassr.
The 32-year-old's deal at Anfield will expire in June 2025 and there is still no new agreement between the Reds and the player.

Speaking to reporters outside St Mary’s following Liverpool's 3-2 win against Southampton last Sunday. “We are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay in the club,” he said. “I’m probably more out than in.
“You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end, it is not in my hands.”
Arne Slot has said he's not fazed by Salah's words, believing that he feels his player is not distracted by the outside noise. "The only thing I can say is, if I look at my line-ups, Mo is more in than out," said Slot.
"I don't think he's distracted at all. I haven't seen that after the United game [in September] where he had some comments, I haven't seen it after a post you told me about, he just kept on scoring.

"If you would have been at the Axa [training ground] today, I don't think any player spoke about it, at least not when I was there."
Saudi's "astronomical” contract
Now, according to Daily Mail, Salah could be offered an “astronomical” contract from clubs in the Saudi Pro League. In August 2023 had interest from Al-Ittihad, who reportedly offered €180 million - but move materialised.
Ronaldo earns €212m a year in the Pro League. The report states that “sources” have claimed: “any deal for Salah to join the [Saudi Pro] league would be on a par or even eclipse the figure [earned by Ronaldo]”.
It's not clear whether Liverpool will be able to manage any wage offered by the Saudi Pro League. The club has Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold who are also nearing the end of their deal too.
