The 23-year-old is due to become a free agent when his contract at Bayern Munich expires next summer and he is focused on securing a Bosman deal switch to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Reports have suggested that Davies is open to extending his stay at the Allianz Arena, but Marca insist that a move to Real Madrid remains his priority.

The Spanish outlet have revealed that both Barcelona and Man Utd have been in close contact with Davies’ camp in recent weeks, however they have not received the desired response.

The presence of Hansi Flick at Camp Nou or the appointment of Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford hasn’t impacted Davies and he is set on joining Real Madrid, as per Marca.

Los Blancos have been linked with a move for the Canadian for close to 18 months and they are currently the frontrunners to sign him in 2025, in addition to Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold.

What has Alphonso Davies said?

In September, Davies was asked about his future at Bayern and whether a contract extension is on the cards.

“My full focus is on this team,” he said (as per Get Football News Germany). “I’m playing here for Bayern Munich now, and that’s what I’m concentrating on. I want to win every game. That’s why I’m not thinking about it at the moment.

“Regardless of whether I stay or leave the club, I will always carry this club in my heart.”

Davies added: “You’ll have to talk to my agent about that [interest from other clubs]. My focus right now is on winning every game. I’m not thinking about the other topic at the moment.”

Davies has made 210 first-team appearances for Bayern since joining the club from Vancouver Whitecaps in 2019, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at €41.1 million.
