Ed Sheeran apologises to Ruben Amorim: 'Feel a bit of a b*llend'
Ed Sheeran has issued a public apology to Ruben Amorim for gatecrashing his post-match interview on Sunday.
It was a strange debut for Amorim as new Manchester United head coach. His side travelled to Ipswich and stormed into an early lead just 81 seconds into the game.
After the goal, however, the promoted side piled on the pressure and scored a deserved equaliser later on in the first half. The Tractor Boys were bold in the second half and probably could have defeated the Red Devils but the spoils were ultimately shared.
After the match, Amorim remained pitchside to give his first post-match interview to Sky Sports. Mid-way through the conversation, Ipswich Town's superstar minority shareholder Ed Sheeran suddenly turned up to chat with pundit Jamie Redknapp.
To make the situation more awkward, Sheeran, after being introduced, said: “I don’t think he [Amorim] wants to speak to me. He doesn’t want to speak to me.” Before leaving the scene, he added: “I loved it, I love being back in the Premier League.”

Amorim clearly wasn't thrilled and later on revealed that he wasn't entirely comfortable with constantly being in the limelight. "This week I spoke more [to the media] than I did in four years at Sporting. I just want to work with my players. Nothing more," he insisted.
As for Sheeran, he was subjected to harsh criticism from Man Utd fans for his 'unprofessional' and 'embarrassing' behaviour and has now taken to social media to issue an apology to the Portuguese tactician.

"Apologies if I offended Amorim yesterday," he wrote, "didn't actually realise he was being interviewed at the time, was popping to say hi and bye to Jamie. Obvz feel a bit of a b*llend but life goes on. Great game though, congrats on all involved x."
