Man Utd quoted hefty price for 17-year-old wonderkid
Manchester United will have to pay as much as €30 million for Chris Rigg, according to a report.
The Sunderland youngster continues to impress and he is swiftly becoming one of the most sought-after commodities in English football. A regular in the Championship at just 17, Rigg has made 13 appearances this term, scoring three goals from midfield.
The teenager has been on the radar of top clubs for some time and one link that refuses to go away is the one associating him with a move to Man Utd. INEOS have made it their mission to snap up the best English talent and Rigg certainly falls into that category.

Man Utd have been scouting Rigg for years and it is thought that they could finally make a move in 2025. However, the Red Devils are far from his only admirers and they will also have to part with a pretty penny to secure his signature.
Rigg given €30m price tag
At least that is according to CaughtOffside, which claims that Man Utd have been quoted a €30 million price for Rigg. Despite this hefty sum, it is asserted that clubs would be prepared to cough up the money.
Man Utd face high-profile competition from Premier League rivals and European giants abroad. Among the clubs keen on the 17-year-old are said to be Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City are also credited with an interest in Rigg. Sunderland will try to keep hold of the teenager in the winter to continue their promotion push, but there is a fear that Premier League clubs could look to repeat what Crystal Palace did with Blackburn's Adam Wharton last January.
One thing is clear: Rigg will take centre stage in the 2025 transfer windows.
