Ten Hag set for shock job MORE PRECARIOUS than Man Utd
Erik ten Hag is emerging as a target for AS Roma, according to Italian media.
The Dutchman is currently out of work and enjoying some downtime with his family. Ten Hag has been spotted at several football matches in his native Netherlands in recent days, with the former Man Utd manager evidently unable to stay away from the game for long.
The 54-year-old got the boot on October 28 after a little over two years in charge at Old Trafford. Ten Hag, so successful at Ajax, had led Man Utd to their worst-ever Premier League finish in 2023/24 and worst start to a season in 2024/25.

Despite his failings at Man Utd after a promising debut campaign, the Dutchman remains highly regarded in the industry for his exploits in the Netherlands and it is therefore no surprise that big sides looking for a manager are taking an interest in him.
Roma eye Ten Hag
One of the biggest managerial vacancies in the game right now is at Roma. The Serie A giants have endured a torrid start to the campaign and have already sacked their second head coach.
Roma languish in 12th in Serie A and have won just three of their opening 12 games, a rotten statistic that first cost club legend Daniele de Rossi his job and now Ivan Juric as well.
Speculation surrounding the next Roma boss has been rampant, with Frank Lampard, Rudi Garcia and Edin Terzic emerging as targets before being discarded again.

According to Il Messaggero, Roma are now considering Ten Hag and ex-Chelsea boss Graham Potter as potential solutions, but if they are looking for job security, they won't find it in Italy's capital.
The club's controversial owners, the Friedkins, have become the target of fan protests and are becoming increasingly unpopular due to the recent firings and chaos at the club. Earlier this year, Jose Mourinho was also sacked by the Roma chiefs, while CEO Lina Souloukou resigned in September.
The Friedkins have been very hands-on owners and this has compromised the position and influence of new sporting director Florent Ghisolfi. Even his job is under threat now and it is the Friedkins who are taking charge of the managerial casting rather than Ghisolfi, who has remained in Rome while the owners are interviewing candidates in London.
It is unclear whether the interest in Ten Hag is already advanced to the point of an interview or whether he is even keen on the job. The Dutchman was spotted in Enschede at the weekend watching his beloved Twente draw 2-2 against his second love Ajax.
