Man Utd stunned by SENSATIONAL Garnacho report
Manchester United have been warned that they face the prospect of losing Alejandro Garnacho in the summer transfer window.
Garnacho has rapidly established himself in the Man Utd first team after breaking through the academy system and has become one of the most beloved players of the Old Trafford supporters.
He has also been one of their outstanding players this season, scoring eight goals and creating four more across all competitions.
The 20-year-old opened the scoring in the first minute of the Europa League clash against Bodo/Glimt on Thursday but has been warned that he may not have a future under Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford, Fichajes reports.
It is claimed by the Spanish source: “His style of play does not seem to fit in with Amorim's tactical plans, who is looking for a more structured approach on the wings. This discrepancy could open the door to his departure, especially if the club finds an interesting offer in the next transfer window.”
Fichajes goes on to claim that there are “clubs paying attention” to the situation but does not elaborate.
Alejandro Garnacho: Sale unlikely
While competition is set to be fierce for the inside forward positions that Amorim loves, the fact that Garnacho has started both games since the Portuguese took over suggests that it would be wrong to write him off so early in the former Sporting boss’ reign.
Amorim has hinted at a willingness to give Mason Mount more game time, yet in a team sorely lacking an X-factor at times, the Argentine is one of the players capable of providing this.
It has also been suggested that Garnacho could be repositioned to play in a wing-back role, with his energy and tenacity potential attributes given Amorim will want his team to play with a forward-thinking mentality.
Garnacho is under contract with Man Utd until June 2028 and has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €39 million.
