Chelsea and Liverpool told NEW Rayan Cherki asking price
Olympique Lyon are asking for at least €30 million to sell Rayan Cherki, according to French media.
The Ligue 1 giants are set for a firesale in 2025. Sanctioned by France's financial watchdog over more than €500 million in debts, Lyon need to raise funds as soon as possible or risk relegation to Ligue 2 and a transfer ban.
Les Gones will listen to offers for all of their stars next year and there are some who are almost certain to depart the club. Chief among them is homegrown star Rayan Cherki.

The 21-year-old has had the weight of the world on his shoulders in recent years. The club's most talented player in a long time, expectations of Cherki have been sky-high which ultimately led to disappointment when he couldn't live up to the hype.
In the summer, he already looked to be on the exit ramp but deals with PSG and Borussia Dortmund fell through. He signed a one-year contract extension to prevent a free transfer exit in 2025, but he is almost guaranteed to leave the club next year anyway.
Lyon set new Cherki price
Compared to last season, Cherki has been much improved this term and this has emboldened Lyon. While Cherki was on the market for just €15m in the summer, his encouraging performances have convinced the Ligue 1 side that they can ask for more in 2025.
Previously, there was talk of a price tag of €25m, but Footmercato now reports that Lyon are asking for at least €30m-€35m. Liverpool and Chelsea have recently been linked with the Frenchman.

Additionally, the outlet adds Bayer Leverkusen to his list of suitors. PSG are also still monitoring Cherki, too, after their initial summer interest, but it remains to be seen if any club will be willing to cough up €30m for a player with just a year left on his deal.
Clubs know that Lyon desperately need to sell and won't be held to ransom by the French club. Cherki currently has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of just €9.3m after previously peaking at close to €20m.
