Ruben Amorim goes ALL-IN for dream free transfer
New Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is going all-in on Alphonso Davies in an attempt to sign the Bayern Munich superstar on a free transfer.
That is according to German media Sport1, who report that United are not giving up in their pursuit of Davies - despite the consensus being that he will almost certainly join Real Madrid next summer.
The report states that Amorim sees Davies as absolutely perfect for his 3-4-3 system, considering the Canadian as arguably the best wing-back in the world.

Davies is out of contract at Bayern at the end of the season and seems almost certain to run down his deal.
Talks regarding a new deal hit a low point in the spring after Bayern issued an ultimatum that eventually passed without consequences and there was even a rapprochement when Vincent Kompany was named the club's new head coach.
Some positive discussions followed and Bayern decided to head into the new season with Davies on board despite the fact that the two parties are no closer to reaching an agreement.
The German giants still have no intention of meeting Davies' hefty €20 million per season wage demands, but sporting director Christoph Freund recently insisted that "the door is definitely not closed" regarding a new round of talks and a potential compromise.
Nevertheless, it now seems unlikely that Davies will stay at Bayern as time is running out fast.
Man Utd are willing to offer Davies the biggest salary of any of the interested parties - with Barcelona also challenging Madrid for the left back.
Real Madrid favourites for Davies
However, the consensus in the media is that Davies is very likely to join Real Madrid.
Madrid are planning to revolutionise their full back positions in 2025, and dream of having Davies at left back and Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold at right back.
The Liverpool star is also out of contract at the end of the season and increasingly likely to leave on a Bosman Transfer.
Madrid are also planning to sign a central midfielder next summer to replace Toni Kroos, who retired this past summer.
