Gyokeres SHINES on Man Utd transfer audition
Manchester United have sealed the signing of new head coach Ruben Amorim from Sporting CP, but the Premier League outfit could yet steal their star striker.
Viktor Gyokeres has been on fire since his switch to Portugal, with previous stories linking him with a move to Arsenal. However, following Amorim's arrival at United, links have grown over a possible switch to the Old Trafford club.
Last night Sporting CP beat Estrela da Amadora 5-1, with Gyokeres scoring four goals. It means his tally this season is 20 goals in 16 games, along with four assists.

He was asked about a possible move to United, with Fabrizio Romano aggregating his comments. “Going with Amorim to Man United? I don’t know, I’m here. As you can see, I enjoy it at Sporting. It’s nothing I think about.
“I’m sad about him leaving. We wish him all the best”.
Last week, Florian Plettenberg, of Sky Germany, has tweeted that even though Sporting CP have a release clause set at €100 million into his current deal, he will be able to leave for much less.
He wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: "Been told despite a release clause set at €100m, there is an agreement that Viktor Gyökeres can leave Sporting CP next summer for €60-70m A move in the winter is currently not planned. A transfer in the summer is very likely. In England, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea are specifically interested in the 26 y/o. #LFC #CFC
"All of the teams are informed about the transfer agreement. 18 goals and 7 assists this season yet. Top striker."
Gyokeres may go in January
Furthermore, last week Sporting CP's president Frederico Varandas admitted that Gyokeres may be sold in January.
Speaking to RTP3, Varandas was asked if Gyokeres could make a move in the January transfer window. He replied: “I would say it is very, very, very difficult. There are no impossible things in life, but I would say it is really very difficult.
"He has scored many goals and continues to score, but, with all due respect, it will be very difficult to leave in January.”
