Edu's first transfer after Arsenal exit revealed
Edu Gaspar's first order of business at his new job at Nottingham Forest could be to convince Mathys Tel to join.
The Bayern Munich youngster had high hopes for the new season after falling out of favour under Thomas Tuchel towards the end of the previous campaign.
Tel featured heavily for Vincent Kompany's side in pre-season and was tipped to play a big role in upcoming competitive matches. However, that has not materialised and the Frenchman is struggling to get more than cameo appearances off the bench.

Having extended his contract in the spring after a promise of significant game time, the 19-year-old and his representatives are anything but thrilled with developments at Bayern in recent months.
Still, Sky Germany reports that Tel is determined to fight for his place even though the club have opened the door to a potential January loan.
Edu to work his magic?
If things don't improve between now and the Bundesliga winter break, Tel will have no choice but to bite the bullet and seek a temporary exit - and this is where Edu could come into play.
The transfer guru has resigned from his sporting director role at Arsenal to head up Evangelos Marinakis' budding footballing empire, which includes Nottingham Forest, Olympiacos and Rio Ave.

Among other things, Edu will have a big say in transfers and Forest are one of the sides, along with Werder Bremen, to be credited with an interest in Tel for January.
After a brilliant start to the season, which surely no one expected, Forest are keen to bolster their side to prevent a late-season slump and Tel is being eyed as a potential opportunity.
Given the player's current stance, however, it would take some convincing to get him to swap Munich for Nottingham. But Edu's track record speaks for itself and perhaps he can work his magic again.
