Chelsea recall TWO loanees in January transfer hint
Chelsea have recalled loanees Aaron Anselmino and Gabriel Slonina ahead of the January transfer window.
The Blues are making the first moves of the winter window even though it is, on the whole, expected to be a relatively quiet one. As things stand, it is not anticipated that Chelsea will make any major signings over the next month but several players could depart the club.
The likes of Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka and Cesare Casadei are all but guaranteed to head elsewhere in search of regular playing time, although there have been some concerns that there could be a lack of interest in Chilwell due to his fitness record and salary.

Additionally, Frenchmen Christopher Nkunku and Axel Disasi have been linked with a departure, with the latter perhaps the more likely of the two to leave given that Chelsea were already open to selling him in the summer.
Despite links with several potential big-name replacements, it seems that the Stamford Bridge club will look for an in-house solution.
Chelsea recall Anselmino
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have decided to recall Aaron Anselmino from his spell at Boca Juniors after signing him in the summer but leaving him in his native Argentina initially.
The young centre-back is expected to arrive in London at the end of the week and link up with Enzo Maresca's squad. With only a limited number of international loan spots available, Chelsea could seek to keep the 19-year-old around as a replacement for Disasi.

This would open up a loan spot for someone else, though there have also been reports that Anselmino could be sent to BlueCo affiliate Strasbourg to come to grips with European football.
Additionally, Chelsea are set to recall goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina from his loan at Barnsley. The American is currently nursing a finger injury and will be assessed in the coming weeks. The expectation is that he will leave the club again in January.
