The Danish youngster is the subject of a new transfer rumours seemingly every day. Dorgu's performances for Serie A side Lecce have not gone unnoticed at Europe's biggest clubs and he continues to catch the eye.

Dorgu, converted from left-back to winger, is becoming increasingly influential in his side's attacking play and he has netted three goals this season while he was also crucially involved in Lecce's shock equaliser against Juventus on Sunday.

The 20-year-old has now been crowned Denmark's Young Player of the Year and this will only increase his already sparkling reputation. In the summer, Chelsea and Tottenham were interested in Dorgu, who is a boyhood Blues fan.

However, both sides were ultimately priced out of a move by Lecce demanding around €35 million. Despite the youngster recently signing a new long-term contract, he will not remain at his club for any extended period of time.

Dorgu to move in 2025

At least that is according to Fabrizio Romano, who has on Monday provided a bombshell update on Dorgu's future. The Italian transfer expert claims that the 20-year-old is 'expected to leave Lecce in 2025.'

Romano also reiterated that the Serie A side rejected approaches form Spurs and Chelsea, who had wanted to sign Dorgu initially with a view to sending him to Ligue 1 affiliate club Strasbourg.

Ultimately, Chelsea ended up signing Renato Veiga for their own squad and Caleb Wiley for Strasbourg. However, with Ben Chilwell facing an uncertain future, the Blues may yet return for Dorgu as a left-back option even though he looks set to play the rest of this season further forward.

Romano did not mention any potential new suitors or price for Dorgu. Italian media has been linking Napoli and AC Milan with the Dane, while Man Utd were also associated with him last week.
