Fabrizio Romano transfer news: Man Utd 'HERE WE GO', Davies TRUTH, Real Madrid's PLAN revealed
Fabrizio Romano has revealed all the latest updates from the world of football transfer news, including Manchester United’s new signing, an update on Alphonso Davies and Real Madrid’s 2025 transfer plans.
Diego Leon to Man Utd
Man Utd have been linked with a host of players over the past few months, but the first signing of the Ruben Amorim era has been confirmed by Romano in his latest YouTube video.
“A deal is in place and we have the ‘Here We Go’ for Diego Leon, a 17-year-old Paraguayan left-back, to join Manchester United.

“Total package is going to be in excess of $6-$7 million, including add-ons. The initial fee will be $4m with $1m in guaranteed add-ons and more complicated add-ons based on the performances of the player.
“Obviously, Diego Leon immediately accepted the opportunity to go to Man Utd and the negotiation with Cerro Porteno (his current club) was quite fast, with Jason Wilcox in charge of negotiations.
“The deal is in place and Man Utd hope to sign all the documents next week. They are also planning a trip for Diego Leon to visit Carrington and Old Trafford, and meet Ruben Amorim, the directors of the club and his future team-mates.
“He will not be able to join Man Utd in January because he’s still 17, but when he turns 18 in the summer, he will be able to become a new Man Utd player.”

Alphonso Davies update
In addition to Leon, Man Utd have also been heavily linked with a move for Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies, although Real Madrid are reportedly the frontrunners to land the Canada international.
However, Romano has denied speculation that Davies has already decided his next step.
“My information remains that Alphonso doesn’t plan to sign anything before Christmas, so a change in the situation would probably take a crazy proposal from Bayern.
“Alphonso wants to take his time. [Staying at] Bayern is an option, for sure, and Bayern are talking to his agent, so the option of extending his contract is still there.
“Real Madrid are also still there and Man Utd are monitoring several left-backs, but they have not sent any bid to Alphonso.”
Real Madrid’s plans
While Davies is being pursued by Real Madrid, Romano revealed that Los Blancos are also focusing their attention on signing Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold and extending Thibaut Courtois’ contract.
“Real Madrid’s plan for 2025 includes a new centre-back, the dream target of Trent Alexander-Arnold and to extend the contract of Thibaut Courtois.
“Real Madrid firmly believe that Courtois is still the best goalkeeper in the world and they are yet to receive any direct bid from Saudi Arabia, despite two years of interest.
“Real Madrid intend to talk to Courtois and try to extend his contract. His current deal runs out in the summer of 2026 and they are planning a proposal to send to Courtois in 2025.”
Furthermore, Romano also confirmed Endrick’s transfer intentions amid his early season struggles since arriving at the Santiago Bernabeu from Palmeiras.
“Endrick is not planning for a change in the January transfer window, I can guarantee that. Endrick wants to stay at Real Madrid and he wants to fight for his place.
“He understands that this first season is going to be about adapting to a new city and a new life, so Endrick is not planning to leave.”
