Romano drops positive Rayan Cherki update for Liverpool
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain are not in the race to sign Rayan Cherki.
As the January window approaches, the name of the Olympique Lyon star continues to make headlines as he is one of the players most likely to depart the club in the winter.
Lyon need to raise funds to stave off their provisional demotion to Ligue 2 and Cherki is firmly viewed as a player who could flush some much-needed funds into the club's coffers.

However, recent reports have claimed that Lyon are reluctant to sell in January and that they would only be prepared to listen to significant offers, but this has down little to calm the speculation.
Liverpool have been most prominently linked with the 21-year-old, while PSG tried to sign him in the summer.
PSG not in for Cherki
There have been conflicting reports about PSG in recent weeks. L'Equipe has asserted that the Ligue 1 champions are still furious with the attacking midfielder after he broke off communication with them in the summer, while Footmercato has claimed that they remain keen.
Fabrizio Romano has now spoken about Cherki's situation and he has confirmed that PSG are no longer interested in him. "PSG will not go for Cherki in January," he said on his YouTube channel.

"On Liverpool, are there concrete negotiations as of today? It is not something advanced. Interest? Yes. Liverpool know the player very well, Liverpool are monitoring in the sense that they're sending their scouts to see the progress of Cherki.
"We all know the talent of the player, but Liverpool want to see consistency in a player. That's why they're constantly monitoring Cherki. There's also interest from other clubs, so he will be for sure an interesting one to watch in 2025.
