Real Madrid rekindle interest in 'VERY IMPORTANT' Man Utd star
Real Madrid have identified Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot as an alternative to Trent Alexander-Arnold, as per reports in Spain.
The Portugal international has been on Los Blancos’ radar for some time, and the Spanish giants have now rekindled their interest amid their continued pursuit of a new right-back.
Alexander-Arnold remains Real Madrid’s priority target, and he is due to become a free agent when his Liverpool contract expires next summer, but Carlo Ancelotti’s side have listed Dalot as their first-choice alternative, according to Relevo.

Real Madrid have reportedly been in talks with Dalot’s representatives for several months and they have been told it will take a bid of at least €50 million for Man Utd to consider a sale in 2025.
Dalot signed a contract extension at Old Trafford last year and his current deal with the Red Devils now runs until 2028, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at €37.4m.

Ruben Amorim on Diogo Dalot
News of Real Madrid’s rekindled interest in Dalot comes following Ruben Amorim’s recent praise of the Portugal international.
Ahead of Man Utd’s 4-0 win over Everton on Sunday, Amorim told reporters: “[Dalot is] very powerful, we have to rotate him sometimes because he always looks fresh, but he is not like that, he is not a machine. I think he plays better on the right and we will manage to put him on the right.
"He is a very good player, very powerful that can play both sides and nowadays, a player that can play on both sides is perfect because you can put him in different positions.
“I expect the same as last year that you saw. A great player that can help the team and he is really a team player, you can feel it in every way, he leads the game and he is very important for us."
