Barcelona are 'attentive' to Marcus Rashford's situation but do not consider him a priority at the moment, according to Spanish media.

The Manchester United superstar is always in the news - and always under fire. Rashford has underperformed ever since that stunning 30-goal season under Erik ten Hag in 2022/23 and continues to be the subject of heated debate.

As one of Man Utd's biggest earners, Rashford is expected to pull his weight but he rarely does, the brief flashes of brilliance always overshadowed by his lack of application on the pitch and escapades off it.

The 27-year-old's 'lifestyle' has recently been called into question again and this has, in turn, given rise to renewed speculation about his future. It has been claimed that Man Utd would be open to selling him as early as January to fund Ruben Amorim's rebuild and to avoid falling foul of financial regulations.

Barca not keen on Rashford

The biggest problem with the suggestion of a winter exit is, of course, the fact that it will be enormously difficult to attract the kind of offers that reflect Rashford's value, even if it keeps dropping steadily.

The Man Utd academy graduate wouldn't come cheap and on Thursday, it was reported that Man Utd had set a price of at least €48 million, which makes it difficult to imagine that many clubs would come forward with interest in a mid-season move.

One side that have been linked with Rashford are Barcelona. According to Sport, the Blaugrana are indeed attentive to the situation, but that is about it.

Barcelona do not view Rashford as a priority and are unlikely to make any kind of approach for the 27-year-old as things stand. Barcelona are in the market for a forward or a winger but there are better options on the market.
