Man Utd identify 'priority' Rashford replacement
Manchester United have identified Brighton & Hove Albion forward Evan Ferguson as their “priority” replacement for Marcus Rashford, according to reports in Spain.
Rashford was excluded from the Red Devils’ matchday squad during their 2-1 win over Manchester City on Sunday and he has been tipped to leave the club for pastures new next year.
The 27-year-old has registered seven goals and three assists in all competitions so far this season, however reports of an exit have intensified in recent weeks and his omission against Man City has further fuelled rumours of a departure.

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have both been linked with a move for Rashford over the past year, although it remains to be seen if they will rekindle their interest in the ex-England international in 2025.
However, Man Utd are already planning for life after Rashford and they are eyeing a move for the aforementioned Ferguson, as per Spanish outlet Fichajes.
The 20-year-old has only started two Premier League matches this campaign and he has scored just one goal for Brighton since last November. But, Ferguson remains on Man Utd’s radar and the Red Devils are eager to bring him to Old Trafford amid Rashford’s uncertain future at the club.

What has Ruben Amorim said about Marcus Rashford?
When asked why Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho weren’t included in his matchday squad to face Man City on Sunday, Amorim told Sky Sports: “We try to evaluate everything. Training performance, game performances, engagement with team-mates, push their team-mates up.
“Everything is on the line when we analyse and try to choose the players. It is my selection. Simple.
“I don’t want to send a message, it is simply an evaluation and they know it. The players are really, really smart. Everybody understands my decision and I have to choose. It is a simple selection.
“Of course the context is difficult because we have to win games and we have a difficult situation now. I pay attention to everything, the way you eat, the way you put your clothes on to go to a game. Everything. I make my evaluation and then I decide.
“There is communication after the last training. They are alright. They had training this morning and I was there. They trained really well.”
