Gyokeres 'more concrete' for Man Utd amid Boniface update
Manchester United like Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface but they have a more 'concrete' interest in Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting CP.
That's according to Sky Germany anyway, who have linked the Red Devils with many players ahead of the January transfer window.
The club have Joshua Zirkzee, who arrived from Bologna over the summer, as well as Rasmus Hojlund, but the suggestion is that they still want to sign another striker.

Florian Plettenberg wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: "Bayer 04 Leverkusen aim to extend the contract of Victor #Boniface from 2028 to 2029.
"Negotiations are underway. 23 y/o striker set to join the club’s top earners. Also to ensure that he does not already leave the club in the summer.
"Manchester United monitoring Boniface but not held any talks so far as reported. #MUFC interest in Viktor Gyökeres is much more concrete."
Boniface enjoyed a sensational debut campaign at Leverkusen last year, where he notched 31 goal contributions in 34 games across all competitions as the club won their first-ever Bundesliga title.
However, he has been heavily linked with a departure since. Chelsea were among the clubs interested in signing him during the most recent summer transfer window.
Boniface ended up remaining at the BayArena, but he is being monitored by a host of top European teams, including Ruben Amorim’s Man Utd.
Gyokeres' form
Gyokeres was prolific under Amorim at Sporting over their 15 months together prior to the manager’s move to United last month.
Gyokeres currently has a €100 million release clause in his Sporting contract and, although there have been reports that the clause will be officially or unofficially lowered before the summer, there have been claims that United would be prepared to pay the three-figure sum to guarantee getting their man.
