Newcastle rival Liverpool for sensational winger
Newcastle United are eyeing an ambitious move for Mohammed Kudus, according to reports.
The Ghanaian star currently impressing at West Ham, who have had a rocky season. Since making the switch from Ajax to the London club, Kudus has flourished in the Premier League, catching the attention of several teams.
According to The Mirror, Newcastle are now poised to enter the race for his signature and are competing with Arsenal and Liverpool for the versatile attacker.

The outlet stated that: "Toon scouts have tracked 24-year-old Kudus’ progress since his teenage days with Danish side FC Nordsjaelland and were interested before his move to the London Stadium from Ajax in a £38m deal 16 months ago."
It’s a surprising link, especially given Newcastle’s issues with staying within financial regulations. Magpies head coach Eddie Howe himself downplayed any potential spending - even saying that they would have to sell to buy during the pre-match press conference before the Magpies’ 4-0 win over Leicester City.
Newcastle's PSR concerns
Over the summer sporting director Paul Mitchell has made it clear that the club isn’t planning any more big-money signings. Instead, their focus is shifting to finding value in the foreign market.
Even though Kudus would be an outstanding addition to improve their squad, the club’s concerns over Profit and Sustainability Rules seem likely to take priority.
Howe said last week about the window: "I keep saying the same thing about January, I wouldn't expect us to be in a position to be too active in the market. As we currently stand up, things can change. You know, if we trade players, of course, that's different.
"But if we don't trade players, I would expect us to be quiet. Players are very astute human beings. Players feel everything at a football club. They are the most perceptive people because they are on the front line. They are the ones delivering for us.
"So whatever is going on at a football, they’re the ones absorbing it. Naturally, PSR has had an effect on the club and we haven’t been able to strive and reach as quickly as we wanted to initially. That has been halted somewhat in various ways."
