Real Madrid plot surprise Premier League raid for breakout star
Real Madrid have rekindled their interest in Dean Huijsen in light of his stunning recent performances, according to Spanish media.
The 19-year-old joined Bournemouth in the summer after Juventus had decided to cash in on him in a bid to raise funds for big-money signings. The Cherries paid just €15.2 million for Huijsen in what looked to be a major bargain after his impressive loan at Roma.
It took the teenager a while to find his feet and embed himself in Andoni Iraola's well-drilled system, but the high-flying Premier League minnows are now reaping the rewards of their investment.

Huijsen has been nothing short of brilliant in recent weeks, even contributing with crucial goals from set pieces. The centre-back scooped the Man of the Match award against Crystal Palace on Boxing Day and is evidently putting his name on the map.
Real Madrid eye Huijsen
According to AS, Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on Huijsen and are beginning to firm up their interest in the Dutch-born Spanish youth international as they seek defensive reinforcements.
Los Blancos are described as 'lurking on the front line' as far as Huijsen's suitors are concerned and there appears to be an acknowledgement that he will be playing for a European giant before long.

Real Madrid were previously interested in the defender and he had the chance to join them from Malaga in 2021. However, he opted to sign for Juventus instead due to the better prospects of a swift integration into the first team.
In the summer, Real Madrid were also almost certainly aware of his situation and perhaps now regret that they didn't pounce on the opportunity to bring him in on the cheap.
Knowing how well Bournemouth are run, it is clear that the 19-year-old will not come cheap in future transfer windows.
