Arsenal and Chelsea move for €100m Brazilian wonderkid
Arsenal and Chelsea are among the clubs to have enquired about Vitor Reis again in recent days, according to Brazilian media.
The Palmeiras youngster has emerged as one of world football's most promising young prospects this year. At just 18, Reis finished the Serie A season as a starter for the Brazilian giants, who have become so renowned for their talent production in recent years.
After Gabriel Jesus, Endrick, Luis Guilherme and Estevao, the centre-back looks to be the next wonderkid to come out of the Sao Paulo-based club and European giants are naturally keeping an eye on developments in Brazil.

It has been known for some time that pretty much the entirety of Europe's elite has taken an interest in Reis but clubs refrained from making a move in the summer considering that he had only just burst onto the scene.
With January fast approaching, however, speculation surrounding his future is ramping up again.
Arsenal and Chelsea enquire about Reis
According to the Brazilian edition of GOAL, Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter have all made new contact with Palmeiras 'in recent days' to gather information on Reis.
Concrete offers have not yet come in for the 18-year-old because, as one source put it, there is a feeling that the prospect could benefit from remaining at Palmeiras for a little bit longer.

The Brazilian giants do not want to sell him just yet and are in a strong negotiating position. Reis is under contract until December 2028 and has a release clause worth an eye-watering €100 million.
This means that a January move is unlikely unless Palmeiras soften their stance. Fresh enquiries from Arsenal and Chelsea, however, show that they have not forgotten about Reis and will continue to monitor his situation.
Chelsea, in particular, are known to be in the market for another centre-back.
