Man Utd in SEVEN-club Xavi Simons battle as demands revealed
It is still unclear whether RB Leipzig will be able to rely on the services of Xavi Simons beyond this season.
The 21-year-old winger and attacking midfielder is currently playing on loan at the German top club, who are interested in his permanent signing. However, the price tag for the transfer of Simons could possibly throw a spanner in the works for Leipzig.
Simons has had a remarkable career, playing in the youth teams of Barcelona and PSG before finally breaking through at PSV. After one season, he returned to the French top club for the small sum of €4 million, who immediately loaned him to Leipzig last season.

Despite high-profile interest, Simons returned to the Bundesliga side in the summer, joining the club on another season-long loan. At Leipzig, Simons has again been one of the mainstays this season and played 11 times (three goals, two assists) until he suffered an ankle injury.
What next for Simons?
Leipzig are still very charmed and would like to sign the Dutch international permanently. Arsenal, Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Inter and Bayern Munich are also among the interested parties.
According to BILD, Leipzig have already contacted PSG for the signing of Simons. The Germans are prepared to shatter their transfer record and pay €50m, with the Parisians retaining 30 per cent of the transfer rights.

It was previously announced that Simons, who is contracted until 2027 to PSG, would cost at least €80m. He currently boasts an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €63.9m.
Should PSG accept Leipzig's offer, there is another hurdle to overcome to secure Simons' arrival. According to the latest reports, the young creative midfielder is reportedly demanding a hefty salary package. Simons is said to be demanding an annual salary of €15m in exchange for his signature.
