Arsenal submit Benjamin Sesko bid
Arsenal have reportedly submitted a €70 million offer for RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko as they look to bring a new number nine to the club before the January transfer window ends.
Mikel Arteta has admitted that he is eager for the Gunners to dip into the transfer market to land a new striker following Gabriel Jesus’ ACL injury and FootballTransfers understands that Sesko is his priority target.
Furthermore, the Slovenia international currently favours a move to Arsenal this year, despite competition from both Chelsea and Manchester United, according to talkSPORT.

Sesko has 14 goals in 27 games so far this season and TodoFichajes have revealed that Arsenal have lodged a €70m offer to sign the RB Leipzig star this month.
Barcelona are also interested in the 21-year-old, despite their financial woes, although Arsenal are desperate to win the race for his signature this year and are currently the frontrunners to land him.

What have RB Leipzig said?
While Arsenal are looking to sign Sesko before the January transfer window ends, RB Leipzig’s Marcel Schafer has insisted that a mid-season exit isn’t currently on the cards.
“There is definitely no contact with any other club or any discussions regarding Benjamin Sesko,” Schafer told Sky Sport Germany.
“We are very happy to have Benji in our squad. He is one of the top attacking talents in Europe and is currently in excellent form. He will continue to wear the RB Leipzig jersey.”
Sesko has four-and-a-half years remaining on his current RB Leipzig contract, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at €59.4m.
