Benjamin Sesko decision

Out of all his Premier League suitors, Benjamin Sesko was most sold on the project at Arsenal in the summer, according to Ben Jacobs. However, he opted to remain at RB Leipzig for the benefit of his own short-term development.

The Slovenian is expected to be on the market in the summer due to a gentleman's agreement with Leipzig and Arsenal will be at the front of the queue as they still view him as their priority centre-forward target.

Arsenal have also made several January approaches for Sesko to test the waters given that Leipzig have already been eliminated from the Champions League. However, the Bundesliga are unwilling to do business mid-season.

Matheus Cunha threat

Arsenal are one of at least five Premier League clubs interested in Wolves forward Matheus Cunha, according to Sky Sports. Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are named, while the other two remain undisclosed.

Nottingham Forest would be prepared to pay a club-record fee for the Brazilian. Aston Villa, meanwhile, are fielding interest in Jhon Duran and could use the money generated from his sale for a move for Cunha.

Arsenal have already held talks with the striker's representatives and personal terms would not be an issue, as revealed by FootballTransfers. However, a significant gap in valuation remains.

New Oleksandr Zinchenko suitor

Atletico Madrid have joined Borussia Dortmund in the race to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko, according to Sky Germany. Arsenal are open to selling the Ukraine international and Atletico are already in 'serious talks' over his signing.

Dortmund, meanwhile, have cooled their interest slightly as they have concerns over his €20 million price tag as well as his positional fit. The Bundesliga side want a full-back who can also play at the heart of the defence.

Zinchenko is said to be 'keen' to leave Arsenal.

Sverre Nypan talks

Arsenal and Man City are in talks with Rosenborg wonderkid Sverre Nypan over a potential transfer. The Norwegian is believed to have travelled to Manchester on Friday to tour City's facilities.

Fabrizio Romano and Norwegian media have suggested that City could look to loan him to City Football Group affiliate Girona initially. However, FootballTransfers understands that the two clubs are prohibited from doing business this month due to both competing in the Champions League.

Arsenal's interest, meanwhile, has been revealed by The Athletic. The 18-year-old has not made a decision on his future yet, but if he were to leave, Rosenborg would prefer for him to move now, during the Norwegian pre-season, rather than in the summer.

Nypan has also been linked with a move to Man Utd since at least 2023 and previously revealed that he is a Man Utd supporter.
