Aston Villa ACCEPT Duran offer as €100m U-turn made
Aston Villa are on the verge of accepting a bid for striker Jhon Duran, with the Birmingham club set to hit a transfer jackpot with the departure of the Colombia international striker.
There has been terrific interest in Duran throughout the January window. PSG were first to take an interest in the player while Chelsea also made their desire to sign the striker clear.

It is Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr that are going to win the race for the 21-year-old striker, with L’Equipe reporting that Aston Villa are about to accept a €70 million bid that will make Duran the second biggest sale in club history behind only Jack Grealish, who left for €117.5m to Manchester City in 2021.
The French source reports that the Saudi Pro League side have been pushing the deal through thanks to their wealth over recent days, forcing a complete change of policy at Aston Villa.
Duran has already agreed terms with Al-Nassr, who allowed Anderson Talisca to hook up with Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce to pave the way for this transfer.
Now it is simply a case of Aston Villa accepting the Saudi team’s offer, which has been set around the €70m mark.
The Premier League club had previously indicated that they would only do a deal for upwards of €100m, and while it appears this was enough to scare off their domestic and European rivals, Saudi have remained in the running and are now set to win the race via Al-Nassr.

A new wave of stars to the Pro League
Duran is the highest-profile name to head to Saudi in the January window to date, yet there could be more to follow in the near future.
Mo Salah is one of the headline names being chased by Pro League clubs, with the Egypt international wanted as a free agent in the summer.
Meanwhile, rumours of a €300m bid for Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid persist, with Saudi apparently still determined to show their strength as a footballing force in the years to come.
