The Blues have been heavily linked with a number of strikers over the past few months and Duran remains a key target following their failed pursuit last summer.

Selling the Colombian has previously been ruled out by Aston Villa, but he is wanted by several clubs across world football, including Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Nassr and Premier League side West Ham United.

Chelsea are also interested in signing Duran this month and they recently enquired about his potential availability during talks with Aston Villa, as per TBR Football.

Unai Emery’s side are in active negotiations to sign Chelsea defender Axel Disasi on loan, while Blues forward Joao Felix has also been linked with a move to Villa Park amid reports that Emiliano Buendia is on the verge of joining Bayer Leverkusen.

With Disasi and Felix both potentially set to join Aston Villa before Deadline Day, a number of Chelsea fans are eager for their club to reach an agreement to bring Duran to Stamford Bridge as part of the deal.

The Colombia international has 12 goals in just 1,043 minutes of action across all competitions so far this season, but Ollie Watkins remains the first-choice striker at Villa Park and Duran has been tipped to leave the club this year.

Furthermore, talkSPORT have revealed that a swap deal between Felix and Duran could be on the cards, with Villa eyeing a late move for the Chelsea outcast.

Felix moved to Stamford Bridge on a permanent deal for €52m in August, but he has only started three Premier League games since his arrival, due to competition from Cole Palmer, and he is reportedly open to an exit in 2025 amid his lack of game time.
