Man Utd tipped to pursue Cole Palmer transfer
Ex-Manchester United defender Wes Brown believes his former club still has the “star power” to attract Cole Palmer to Old Trafford.
The England international has developed into one of the world’s most exciting players since his move from Manchester City to Chelsea in 2023, and his development is reportedly being watched by the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
Palmer has 13 goals and six assists in just 20 Premier League appearances so far this season and his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) now stands at a career-high of €89.4 million.

Speculative rumours in Spanish media suggest that PSG are currently considering a €200m bid for the 22-year-old, but Brown believes that Man Utd remain an attractive proposal despite their recent decline.
The Old Trafford outfit haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013 and they are currently 13th in the English top flight table after a woeful first few months of the 2024-25 campaign.
However, Brown has tipped his former club to pursue a move for Palmer if the opportunity arises.

What has been said?
“Luckily for Manchester United, they still have the star power to be able to tempt top players like Cole Palmer to the club,” Brown admitted during an interview with The Sports Daily.
“Chelsea have done so well to develop Palmer after taking a small risk in signing him and look at how good he is as a player at such a young age.
“I would love to see him at United but he’d already cost a lot of money. He’s a player that all the best teams in the world will be looking at just in case there is any chance of signing him.
“If United had any chance at all then they would snap your hand off, they should always be looking out for the best young players in the world.”
