Aston Vila are in talks to sign Axel Disasi from Chelsea, but they are also keeping tabs on Joao Felix, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Unai Emery is determined to strengthen his side after a somewhat disappointing domestic campaign to date and, following the signings of Donyell Malen and Andres Garcia, he is determined to add several more stars to his side.

The Spaniard confirmed at the weekend that recruitment chief Monchi is in talks with Villarreal over former Tottenham man Juan Foyth, while Fabrizio Romano revealed earlier on Monday that Chelsea defender Axel Disasi has agreed personal terms with Aston Villa.

Talks between the Blues and the Villans are ongoing, with a loan deal currently the formula being discussed. Disasi has rebuffed approaches from elsewhere and is keen to head to Birmingham.

However, Romano has now confirmed that the Frenchman isn't the only Chelsea player Villa are thinking about signing.

Emery still wants Felix

A few days ago, Romano hinted on his YouTube channel that Aston Villa could reignite their interest in Joao Felix. In the summer, Emery had desperately wanted to sign the then-Atletico Madrid attacker.

He ultimately joined Chelsea and has proved to be a predictably disappointing signing. The Blues didn't need another attacking midfielder yet they splashed €53 million on him just so that they could sell Conor Gallagher to Atleti.

Felix has been nothing more than a luxury substitute in the Premier League and, according to Romano, a host of clubs have approached Chelsea regarding a potential January move.

He has now confirmed that Aston Villa really are among his suitors once again and that they could launch an offensive for him in the final days of the window. His agent, Jorge Mendes, has been fielding interest from admirers for some time and things could pick up steam shortly.
