Chelsea's first January sale CONFIRMED by Fabrizio Romano
Chelsea have completed the first of many expected January sales, with Fabrizio Romano announcing a deal has been struck with fellow Premier League club Bournemouth.
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca is battling with a massive squad as he tries to get the Blues back on track after a hiccup that has seen them go five Premier League matches without a win. Suddenly, the Italian finds himself under pressure.
Romano reports that the decks have started to be cleared at Stamford Bridge with the decision to sell Zain Silcott-Duberry to Bournemouth.

Taking to X, the football transfer reporter said: “Bournemouth have agreed terms with Chelsea for 19-year-old winger Zain Silcott-Duberry.
“Deal includes sell on clause and future incentives for first team appearances, contract until June 2028.”
Out of contract in the summer, it is likely that he has only been sold for a nominal fee, though there has been no indication of what Chelsea will receive in return from Bournemouth for the teenager.

Silcott-Duberry is likely to be the first of several sales that Maresca’s side make before the transfer window shuts.
He will not be the most lucrative, with the expectation that Chelsea could land a huge profit from selling Tosin Adarabioyo to Fulham.
The teenager is not, however, the first player to leave Chelsea this summer. Alex Matos holds that status, with the 20-year-old having moved to Championship side Oxford on loan.
Who is Zain Silcott-Duberry?
Zain Silcott-Duberry is a highly versatile attacker who featured prominently for Chelsea U23 in Premier League 2 last season but has rarely played this term.
He is primarily a winger, capable of playing off either flank. Last season, he scored just one goal in 22 appearances for the Blues’ youths. This term, he has managed to play only 33 minutes of football for the academy side.
Previously on the books of Norwich, he has won one England U17 cap.
