Chelsea Transfer News Today: Nkunku SWAP DEAL, Veiga BOMBSHELL, Chalobah TRUTH
FootballTransfers runs through all the latest Chelsea transfer news, rumours and gossip, including updates on Christopher Nkunku, Mathys Tel, Renato Veiga and Trevoh Chalobah.
Christopher Nkunku-Mathys Tel swap deal?
Chelsea and Bayern Munich are locked in negotiations over a possible swap deal involving Christopher Nkunku and Mathys Tel.
Chelsea are long-term admirers of Tel, while Bayern are eyeing an opportunistic move for Nkunku amid his limited role at Stamford Bridge so far this season.
Tel remains eager to remain in Bavaria, but Sky Germany and Fabrizio Romano have revealed that Nkunku has already agreed personal terms with Bayern as he looks to join Vincent Kompany’s side.

Renato Veiga update
Renato Veiga has reportedly rejected the opportunity to leave Chelsea on a permanent deal before the end of the January transfer window.
The Portugal international has reached a total verbal agreement to join Borussia Dortmund this month, but he is only willing to leave Stamford Bridge on loan.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who has revealed that Veiga is only interested in departing on a six-month loan deal in order to play regular football as a central defender.

Trevoh Chalobah truth
Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has revealed that Trevoh Chalobah wants to remain at Selhurst Park rather than return to Chelsea this month.
The Englishman joined Palace on a season-long loan deal back in August, after being frozen out by Enzo Maresca, but he has been tipped to return to Stamford Bridge amid an injury crisis in west London.
However, speaking ahead of Crystal Palace’s clash against Leicester City on Wednesday, Glasner informed reporters that Chalobah doesn’t want to be recalled by Chelsea.
“It’s a tricky situation,” he said (as per The Evening Standard). “I want to always be honest. Chelsea has the possibility to call him [Chalobah] back from loan.
“There’s a little bit of uncertainty at the moment: will they do it, when will they do it? We need clarity, he needs clarity.
“He wants to stay here, but it’s a decision Chelsea can take. We are passengers; we are not the pilot who is flying the plane.
“My wish and Trevoh Chalobah’s wish is that he stays with us. Chelsea loaned him to us to give him minutes, to improve his game. This is what he did. But I think he’s not finished. It’s a one-year loan deal. But we’ll see.”
Axel Disasi to leave?
Axel Disasi was omitted from Chelsea’s squad to face Bournemouth on Tuesday evening, with Fabrizio Romano confirming that he is set to leave Stamford Bridge after talking with the club hierarchy.
Disasi reportedly has ‘important clubs’ vying for his signature, though Romano did not mention any names. The Frenchman has been linked with Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus over the past few weeks and he is now expected to seal a transfer before the end of the January window.
