Chelsea Transfer News Today: GOLDEN Guehi chance, Mudryk DECISION, SECOND deal confirmed
FootballTransfers runs through all the latest Chelsea transfer news, rumours and gossip, including updates on Marc Guehi, Mykhailo Mudryk and Cole Palmer.
’Golden opportunity’ for Guehi
Chelsea are in pole position to sign Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi, who was previously on the books of the Stamford Bridge side as a youngster.
Although Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle are all interested in the England international, Chelsea are the only team in position to sign Guehi now. The other clubs lack the funds to do so.
Palace have set the player’s asking price around the €90m mark, with GiveMeSport claiming the Blues are ready to test the resolve of the club by making a January move.

Deal for Mudryk replacement gathers pace
Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is set to play a big role in the Blues securing the services of their Mykhailo Mudryk replacement.
The future of the Ukraine international star is unclear as faces an anxious wait after testing positive for a banned substance, but the Blues appear to be gearing up for the worst possible scenario, which would be a lengthy suspension for the winger.
Conte is ready to sign Carney Chukwuemeka on a loan deal with a buy option included, according to TeamTalk.
With an eventual transfer expected to cost around €36 million, this deal would help fund a move for a replacement for Mudryk, who faces a maximum of a four-year ban.
Nico Williams and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia have both been linked with a move to Chelsea in the past, and the Blues may need to sell the likes of Chukwuemeka, Ben Chilwell and Cesare Casadei in order to afford a superstar new left winger.
Maresca makes Chilwell admission
Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Ben Chilwell is one of the players who could depart Chelsea in January, with the left-back having been frozen out entirely under the former Leicester boss.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Maresca was asked for an update on Chilwell’s future. He replied: “No idea, to be honest. In terms of the transfer window, generally there are players that probably they are going to leave but not sure at the moment.
“He could leave, yeah.”

Official: Chelsea’s second January transfer decision
Chelsea have confirmed that Aaron Anselmino has been recalled from his loan spell with Boca Juniors in their second major transfer decision of the window.
He joined Chelsea for €16.5 million in the summer but was immediately loaned back to Boca.
“Aaron Anselmino has been recalled from his loan spell at Boca Juniors,” a statement on the club’s website read. “The Argentine defender joined the Blues from Boca in August, penning a long-term deal, before heading back to La Bombonera on loan to continue his development.
“Aaron made 18 appearances for Boca across all competitions during his loan spell and became a regular in the backline. Welcome back to Chelsea, Aaron!”
He is expected to be eased into first-team football at Stamford Bridge, with this a period to acclimatise to English football as Enzo Maresca confirmed at Friday’s press conference.
“He's another talent, another good player, now the most important thing is that he arrives here and he adapts himself, he starts to find a house, settling in the right way,” Maresca said.
“Then we need to give him time, because when you come from the other part of the world, you need to adapt, you need to see a new world, a new culture, but for sure we are going to try to help him to adapt as soon as possible.”
Cole Palmer to join PSG?
Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a €200 million bid to sign Chelsea superstar Cole Palmer, according to a bombshell report from Spanish publication Fichajes.
The England international has emerged as one of the world’s best players since moving to Stamford Bridge in 2023, and PSG are reportedly eager to bring him to the Parc des Princes this year.

The Ligue 1 giants previously failed with a huge offer for Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal, and they have now turned their attention to Palmer, as per Fichajes.
Palmer’s rise to prominence at Chelsea has attracted significant attention from PSG and the Parisians view him as a potential “statement signing.”
Liam Delap breaks silence on Chelsea interest
Ipswich Town forward Liam Delap has provided an update on his future amid links with a big-money move to Chelsea in 2025.
The England U21 international scored during Ipswich’s 2-0 win over Chelsea on Monday and during a post-match interview, he was asked whether he's been able to ignore speculation linking him with a Stamford Bridge switch.
“Yes, I don’t really look at things like that,” Delap told Suffolk News. “So, yes, I’m just focused on Ipswich. As a young player, you just want to go and play football.
“We’re lucky to be playing in the Premier League. I think we’ve got a great opportunity here at Ipswich and we’re just trying to show our ability week in, week out, that’s a big plus for me.”
