OFFICIAL: Chelsea recall Trevoh Chalobah from Crystal Palace loan
Chelsea have officially recalled Trevoh Chalobah from his loan spell at Crystal Palace.
The Blues academy graduate returns to the club after six months spent at Selhurst Park in which he managed to establish himself as a key part in Oliver Glasner's side.
In the summer, Chalobah was made part of Chelsea's 'Bomb Squad' and essentially forced out of the club but failed to secure a permanent transfer. Now, he is set for a slightly awkward reunion with coach Enzo Maresca as Chelsea have officially cut his loan short.

Rather than signing an all-new defender, like Marc Guehi for example, the Blues decided that the more sensible, low-risk solution to their current defensive issues would be to recall Chalobah.
Unlike young defender Aaron Anselmino, whose move from Boca Juniors has been brought forward, Chalobah is ready to step in immediately and plug the gaps left by the injuries to Benoit Badiashile and Wesley Fofana.
Chelsea recall Chalobah
Earlier on Wednesday, news first broke that Chelsea had decided to activate the break clause in Chalobah's loan to bring him back. It was a course of action that seemed impossible at one point as it was initially reported that the Blues had failed to include such a clause in his deal.
These reports turned out to be wide of the mark, though, and Chalobah is now ready to help out, but The Telegraph reports that the expectation remains for the 25-year-old to leave Chelsea permanently in the summer.
