A host of top European clubs, including Liverpool and Chelsea, are attentive to the situation, while French champions PSG have already re-opened talks for the Georgian winger after failing to sign him in the summer.

Kvaratskhelia is keen on the move, though Napoli are demanding a whopping €80 million. However, a potential exit of the 23-year-old appears to be advancing, with the Italians having already agreed terms with a possible replacement.

Napoli agree Dorgu deal

According to Il Mattino, Napoli have reached an agreement in principle with versatile Lecce star Patrick Dorgu. A left-back by trade, the Danish international has been playing primarily as a winger this season.

It is unclear if Napoli boss Antonio Conte views the 20-year-old as a direct replacement for Kvaratskhelia on the wing or for left-back Mario Rui, who recently had his contract terminated and departed on a free transfer.

Either way, the significance of the deal is that it makes an exit of Kvaratskhelia more likely. Dorgu won't come cheap, with Lecce said to be demanding up to €40m, so Napoli will have to raise funds.

However, it is not yet entirely clear whether Dorgu will join Napoli immediately. It was previously mooted that the youngster could see out the season on loan at Lecce after recently signing a new long-term contract.

It is also a deal that is significant for Man Utd as Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that Dorgu has emerged as a left-back target for the Red Devils, who are desperate to strengthen that position.
