Mo Salah Liverpool BOMBSHELL as Turki Alalshikh drops massive transfer hint
The Saudi plan to take Mo Salah away from Liverpool appears to be gathering pace this January, and it has taken another telling twist.
The 32-year-old Egyptian superstar is still at the peak of his powers and arguably still the English Premier League's best player as he carries his table-topping team during another terrific season.
But despite his incredible numbers in 2024-25, Salah will be out of contract on Merseyside this summer, and is now free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with overseas clubs.

So far negotiations with Liverpool and its owners FSG (Fenway Sports Group) have delivered no new contract, and the concern is growing daily at Anfield.
As the days pass, the talk linking Salah to a move to the Saudi Pro League gathers pace, with reigning champions Al-Hilal leading the way.
Turki Alalshikh drops Salah to Al Hilal hint
Al-Hilal apparently want Salah to replace another soccer superstar Neymar this summer with the Brazilian's contract set to expire after an injury-ravaged two-year spell in the Middle East.
And earlier on Wednesday the talk gathered pace when key Saudi figure Turki Alalshikh - the man who now runs boxing - weighed in on the topic with what appeared to be a massive transfer hint.
Turki - Chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (which runs Riyadh Season) - has become a huge global figure as the man behind superfights like Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk in recent months.
Alalshikh is also clearly close to the machinations in the Saudi soccer world as well - he also oversaw the construction of Riyadh’s Kingdom Arena, which is currently Al-Hilal’s home stadium.
In May 2024 Alalshikh revealed that Salah had been on the brink of joining the Saudi Pro League in the summer of 2023 before the deal broke down.
And now he is raising eyebrows again, this time with a post shared to his 15m Facebook followers on Wednesday.
The post caused gasps from a number of quarters, an image of a smiling Salah wearing an Al-Hilal shirt. Alalshikh accompanied the image with a string of emojis.
Rumours that Salah could move to Al Hilal were further fuelled by Sport Center, which has given details of Salah's contract and claims he could be joined in Saudi Arabia by Vinicius Junior.
"Al-Hilal are negotiating a deal worth 150 million Saudi riyals (£14m) - 300 million over two years," it states.
"These are negotiations with Mohamed Salah over a summer transfer.
"Our sources also say that negotiations are underway with Liverpool management and coach Arne Slot about Al Hilal's current needs, as well as the remaining six months of Salah's contract.
"Sources also confirm that the recruitment committee officials met with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez during the Spanish Super Cup regarding the signing of Vinicius Junior for one of the fund's clubs in the winter period.
"They promised another meeting, but so far nothing new has happened regarding this matter."
What does this mean for Salah and Liverpool?
Ultimately this is a hint, albeit a major one, but there is still no definitive answer to the Salah contract saga.
Clearly, the Egyptian's first preference is to remain at Anfield - he is playing on a team which leads the Premier League title race and his family is settled on Merseyside.
But as yet there is no sign of any extension being imminent, which leaves the way very clear for a heartbreaking exit this summer.
Al-Hilal appear to be making big plans for next season - as well as their interest in Salah they have already bid £70m for his Anfield team-mate Darwin Nunez. That bid was rejected but it's expected a £75m offer would be enough to take the Uruguayan striker to the Gulf.
