CONFIRMED: Mohamed Salah contract '99% agreed'
Liverpool megastars Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are on the verge of signing for Al-Hilal, according to Saudi sports pundit Khaled Al-Shenaif.
Despite sitting comfortably atop the Premier League standings, Liverpool are facing a potential doomsday scenario with key players Van Dijk, Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold out of contract at the end of the season.
In recent weeks, it appeared as though the first two, Salah and Van Dijk, were more likely to extend their contracts than to depart, while Alexander-Arnold was said to have been fully seduced by suitors Real Madrid.

However, Liverpool are now under threat of losing all three, with Saudi media increasingly bullish that Van Dijk and especially Salah are on their way to the Middle East.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Riyadh giants Al-Hilal had made Salah an 'unprecedented' contract offer while Saudi bigwig Turki Alalshikh later raised eyebrows by hinting that a deal was already close.
Salah to Al-Hilal '99%' done
Now, Saudi pundit Khaled Al-Shenaif, who works for the KSA Sports channel, has claimed that Salah is '99 per cent an Al-Hilal player' and that Van Dijk will apparently follow suit.
"According to the information we have, Al-Hilal president Fahad bin Nafel and [Pro League vice chairman] Saad Al Lazeez are currently in London to finalise the signings of a 2003-born player and Mohamed Salah," Al-Shenaif said.

"Salah is 99 per cent an Al-Hilal player, while Virgil van Dijk is very close. Everything has been agreed upon; the only thing left is for both players to sign. This transfer will take place over the summer, before the Club World Cup."
Al-Hilal are pushing hard for the signature of Salah as a replacement for Neymar, who is out of contract in the summer and who could already depart Riyadh this month due to being left unregistered for Pro League action by the club over his persistent fitness issues.
