Earlier on this week it was revealed that Liverpool were now leading the chase to sign him and are prepared to spend £25m to make him the most expensive Greek teenager of all time.

The 19-year-old Tzimas has confessed he dreams of a move to the Premier League and would be open to a move to Anfield to link-up with fellow Greek international Kostas Tsimikas.

And it seems like Liverpool are ramping up their efforts to sign him with the Reds taking another significant step in a bid to secure his services.

Anfield Watch is reporting that the club's chief scout, Barrry Hunter, is currently in Germany to discuss details of a potential transfer after successful talks with Tzimas' representatives were held last week.

It is believed Hunter will help negotiations as Liverpool look to wrap up a deal for the teenager.

Tzimas' arrival could hinge on the Reds being able to sell Darwin Nunez this month. That is a strong possibility with Liverpool already receiving a mega £70m offer for his services that was promptly turned down.

It is expected interested parties will return with fresh bids for Nunez with the Uruguayan now very close to ending his chapter as a Liverpool player.

Tzimas is seen as the ideal next addition to Arne Slot's frontline. He is young with a lot of potential and has developed tremendously over the last six months while working with the World Cup's record goal-scorer, Miroslav Klose, at Nurnberg.

Liverpool believe the player has huge potential, and that is why they are prepared to wrap up a deal for him before the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea and others swoop in.
