Pep Guardiola's side are in the midst of a stunning January window. After a poor first half of the campaign, Man City are trying to rectify the situation with a spending spree of epic proportions.

The defence will be bolstered by the acquisitions of Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis, who are set to arrive for €40m and €35m, respectively, while the frontline will soon contain Eintracht Frankfurt sensation Omar Marmoush.

On Thursday, City agreed a €75m deal with €5m in potential add-ons with the Bundesliga side, who confirmed the following day that Marmoush would not take part in their clash with Borussia Dortmund due to ongoing negotiations.

Amid all of these negotiations over incomings, Man City finalised Erling Haaland's historic new contract, which is thought to be one of the most lucrative in football history and which ties him to the club until 2034.

Haaland and Marmoush wages revealed

It is unclear how much Haaland received as a signing-on fee, but it likely won't have been a small sum. All told, Man City have spent north of €150m in guaranteed fees this month and they may not even be done there, with the club also currently in talks with Juventus over full-back Andrea Cambiaso.

But of course, Man City will also have to pay their new players' wages. Just their two strikers alone, Haaland and Marmoush, will pocket close to €1m per week going forward.

It is understood that Haaland's new wage will see him earn £500,000 per week, while Marmoush is expected to receive £300,000, which combines to £800,000 or roughly €947,000.

Haaland's agent Rafael Pimenta revealed last year that she fully believes that her client will earn over €1 billion over the course of his career, with this new contract certainly a massive step towards achieving this.

Marmoush, meanwhile, will pen a five-year contract with the Cityzens that will see him earn around €10m net per season.
