Man Utd tell four players to leave - Fabrizio Romano

Manchester United have told four players they will leave the club this summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelöf and Jonny Evans have all been told that they have no futures at the club past the end of the season.
In the case of Eriksen, Lindelof and Evans, all three players see their contracts expire on June 30. The trio will be released on free transfers, with Evans potentially even retiring from football at the age of 37.
As for Casemiro, his contract expires in 2026 but United are willing to accept a minimal fee in order to get him off their books.

The Brazilian is one of the highest paid players in the Premier League on a massive €21 million per season.
United are desperately trying to cut costs at the club, and are set to make 100 more redundancies of non-playing staff members.
By offloading Casemiro they will be able to save a lot of money, and there is interest from Saudi Arabia for the 33-year-old.

Man Utd cost-cutting
United need to make big cutbacks in the coming months as they are at risk of failing to meet the Premier League’s financial requirements.
Failure to qualify for the Champions League this season - and the added risk of not making it next season either - have badly affected United’s coffers.
The Athletic reports that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS are set to make more than 100 members of staff redundant in another cost-cutting cull of their workforce.
Last summer INEOS oversaw the redundancies of 250 non-playing members of staff. They also enacted many other economic restraints such as cutting down on charity donations and free cereal bars to stewards.
This was an extremely controversial move at the time and there is now set to be more anger as United reportedly plan 100 more redundancies.
United executives are said to describe the new redundancies as “necessary”.
No player in the Man Utd squad is considered unsellable, and the likes of Joshua Zirkzee, Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford are all expected to be for sale, with the latter potentially making his loan move to Aston Villa permanent.
United have endured a disastrous season and are in 13th place in the Premier League.
