The Athletic’s David Ornstein has even reported that Enzo Maresca’s side have lodged an initial enquiry to sign Gittens as the Blues look to purchase a new left winger following Mykhailo Mudryk’s provisional suspension for doping.

However, Sky Germany have revealed that Gittens is a “top transfer target” for Bayern Munich, with Vincent Kompany’s side looking to sign at least one new winger following rumours that Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman could both leave this summer.

Furthermore, the report states that Man Utd are “seriously interested” in signing the England youngster in a bid to bolster Ruben Amorim’s attacking roster.

Marcus Rashford and Antony are both widely expected to leave Old Trafford in 2025, and Alejandro Garnacho could follow suit amid reported interest from both Chelsea and Napoli.

Gittens has scored 11 goals - including strikes against Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Real Madrid - and provided five assists in 25 appearances across all competitions so far this season.

The former Reading and Manchester City youth prospect has three-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract at Borussia Dortmund, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) now stands at €44.5 million.

Chelsea want Jamie Gittens

In addition to Gittens, Chelsea are also looking to sign Karim Adeyemi, Mathys Tel and the aforementioned Garnacho in an attempt to improve the options available to Maresca.

A new striker could be targeted amid Nicolas Jackson’s current dry spell in front of goal, while the west London giants have also been tipped to sign a new centre-back.
