Rashford SAVED by ex-Man Utd boss after dream CRUSHED
Marcus Rashford could be saved from his Manchester United problems by an unexpected source as a new club comes charging into the transfer race to sign the attacker.
Rashford has been frozen out of Ruben Amorim’s plans at Old Trafford since being dropped for the Manchester derby in December and was once again not even stripped for Thursday’s Europa League clash against Rangers – a match that the Red Devils claimed by a 2-1 margin.
The 27-year-old has indicated that he is open to a “new challenge” but suitable clubs have not come calling.
Barcelona is Rashford’s dream destination but any move to Camp Nou hinges on Ansu Fati departing the club. The winger has told Blaugrana head coach Hansi Flick that he will not be leaving Camp Nou during the January transfer window, having been assured of his place in the plans of the German.
With a move to Barcelona having stalled, the possibility of moving to Borussia Dortmund is live – but only if United reduce their demands for the player. This is clearly something the club is not keen on.
Ole wants Rashford at Besiktas
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to offer Rashford a new lease of life at Besiktas, though. Mundo Deportivo reports that the former Man Utd boss would love the England star at his new club.
The deal is considered to be a “complicated” one, but Solskjaer is ready to intervene personally in a bid to get the move over the line.
With little over a week to run in the January transfer window, Man Utd will be open to any offers for Rashford, who is a player that does not appear to have any place in Amorim’s thoughts.
