Marcus Rashford to Arsenal?

Arsenal have contacted Manchester United regarding a January move for Marcus Rashford, according to reports in Italy.

Mikel Arteta’s side are in the market for a new forward following Bukayo Saka’s injury layoff and Rashford has emerged as a potential transfer target amid his uncertain future at Old Trafford.

AC Milan appear to be the frontrunners in the race to sign Rashford this month, although the Serie A giants are set to face significant competition in the form of Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and West Ham United.

Furthermore, Arsenal have now initiated contact with Man Utd, as per Italian journalist Massimo Marianella. He told Sky Sport (via Italian outlet Spazio J): “It seems that Arsenal have made a phone call to Manchester United for Rashford. The club has valued him at €25 million.”

Milan boss Sergio Conceicao remained tight-lipped when asked about the chances of Rashford moving to San Siro this month, but Fabrizio Romano has revealed that a move could be agreed soon.

Ruben Amorim issues transfer message

Ruben Amorim has insisted that Manchester United “need to improve recruitment” following several years of poor spending in the transfer market.

The Red Devils have spent over €2 billion on new signings since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013, yet they have failed to win the Premier League title during that time, while they have only picked up four major trophies.

Speaking ahead of Man Utd’s FA Cup tie against Arsenal on Sunday, Amorim admitted to reporters: “We need to improve recruitment, when we are targeting players that we are sure they can cope with the demands.

“Also, we have to improve our academy, young kids that feel the club in the right way and do some business to have money to invest in the team.

“Our idea is always to keep the best players and to build for this club but I am really happy and like our players especially the guys from the academy.”

Casemiro ‘agrees’ Saudi Pro League transfer

Casemiro has agreed to join the Saudi Pro League this month, according to reports relayed by Sky Sports News.

The Brazil international has been tipped to leave Man Utd in 2025 and he has reportedly agreed contract terms with an unnamed Saudi Arabian club after falling down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

Randal Kolo Muani truth

The Transfers Podcast understands that Randal Kolo Muani has been offered to Man Utd, and the Red Devils have now stepped up their pursuit of the Paris Saint-Germain forward, as per Sky Germany.

Man Utd are reportedly 'determined to do everything possible' to sign the France international, with the club hoping to secure an initial loan move with an option to buy.

Kolo Muani has only started two games in all competitions so far this season after falling out of favour under Luis Enrique, and he is expected to leave the Parc des Princes this month.

Douglas Luiz to join?

Man Utd have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz during the January transfer window.

The Brazil international joined Thiago Motta’s side from Aston Villa for €51.5 million in July, but he has failed to hit the ground running in Italy, mustering just two league starts so far this campaign, partly due to injury.

Luiz has now been offered to a number of Premier League clubs, including Man Utd, as Juventus look to offload him during the January transfer window.

The Daily Mail report that Luiz has been proposed to Man Utd, Manchester City and Fulham, while Nottingham Forest have enquired over a possible loan deal for the 26-year-old.

Ruben Amorim’s first signing confirmed

Diego Leon will reportedly travel to Manchester this weekend to formalise his move to Old Trafford.

Journalist Christian Perez took to X to confirm: “Diego Leon is travelling to Manchester United this Saturday to undergo his medical and get to know the club.

“He will only sign the contract after April, when he turns 18. He will then quickly return to rejoin the Under 20s and travel to the South American Championship.”

Leon is set to be signed by Manchester United in a deal worth €4 million plus bonuses.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia hope

Man Utd have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, with Paris Saint-Germain currently unable to fund a move for the Georgia international.

PSG are in pole position to land the 23-year-old this month, however the Ligue 1 giants aren’t able to match Napoli’s asking price of €80 million, according to French publication RMC Sport.

Man Utd are interested in signing Kvaratskhelia as a replacement for Marcus Rashford and a swap deal has been touted as a possible option.
