Man Utd submit Victor Osimhen offer
Manchester United have reportedly submitted a verbal offer for Victor Osimhen as Ruben Amorim looks to bolster his forward line with a new number nine.
The Red Devils’ 3-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon has left them languishing down in 13th place in the Premier League table, and Amorim is desperate for reinforcements before the January transfer window closes.
Viktor Gyokeres has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford over the past few months, after working with Amorim at Sporting CP, but Osimhen has been labelled as Man Utd’s “dream” signing.

In fact, the Red Devils have even submitted a verbal offer of €70 million in a bid to land the 26-year-old this month.
That is according to Turkish journalist Kagan Dursun, who informed Haber Sari Kirmizi that Man Utd recently sent officials to Istanbul in an attempt to convince Osimhen to end his loan spell at Galatasaray and join the Old Trafford outfit in January.
However, they returned empty-handed, with Osimhen determined to remain at Galatasaray until this summer.

The Nigeria international is expected to depart Napoli on a permanent deal this year, although Man Utd are set to face significant competition for his signature amid interest from Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
Osimhen has scored 14 goals and provided six assists in 18 appearances across all competitions for Galatasaray, including a brace against Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League.
Man Utd want a new striker
Man Utd have been linked with a number of centre forwards amid the struggles of both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
The pair have only mustered a combined 11 goals in 57 appearances this campaign and the Red Devils are actively searching for a new number nine as they look to finally close the gap to Europe’s elite.
In addition to the aforementioned Osimhen and Gyokeres, Man Utd are also monitoring the likes of Jonathan David, Victor Boniface and Randal Kolo Muani ahead of the 2025 summer transfer window.
