Newcastle United are reportedly lining up a bid for Bournemouth star Justin Kluivert if they are forced to sell Alexander Isak this summer.

Isak, 25, has developed into one of the most feared forwards in Europe since moving to St James’ Park in 2022 and he has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal for the past few months.

FootballTransfers understands that Mikel Arteta is currently prioritising deals for Benjamin Sesko and Nico Williams, but Isak remains on the Gunners’ radar and the north London giants could pursue a transfer later this year.

Newcastle are determined to retain Isak as they look to solidify their status as one of Europe’s best teams, but they are reportedly preparing for life after the Sweden international.

The Sun have revealed that Kluivert has been identified as a possible transfer target by Eddie Howe’s side and the Magpies have closely monitored his progress over the last few weeks.

The Dutchman has scored 12 goals and provided five assists in 25 appearances across all competitions so far this season, and he netted a hat-trick against Newcastle on 18 January.

Arsenal are also interested in signing Kluivert, as per The Sun, although Bournemouth are likely to demand a huge fee in order to sanction a sale in 2025.
