Arsenal are reportedly monitoring Jacob Ramsey’s progress at Aston Villa as they eye a possible move for the Englishman this summer.

Ramsey has emerged as a key contributor for Unai Emery’s side this season and his recent form at Villa Park has attracted significant transfer interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

The 23-year-old has scored three goals and provided four assists in 25 appearances across all competitions so far this campaign, and he is being pursued by both Arsenal and Liverpool, according to TBR Football.

Ramsey was linked with an exit last summer, amid Villa’s PSR concerns, but he has established himself as a vital cog over the past few months and Emery is a known admirer.

However, several top clubs are keeping tabs on the ex-England U21 international and Arsenal are reportedly eager to complete a deal as they look to bolster Mikel Arteta’s first-team squad with significant reinforcements this summer.

Ramsey has two-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract at Aston Villa, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at a career high of €46.2m.

Arsenal eye Aston Villa double deal

In addition to Ramsey, Arsenal are also interested in his Aston Villa team-mate Ollie Watkins.

The Gunners failed with a late bid for the England forward during the final few days of the January transfer window, but they could revisit a potential deal this summer.

The former Exeter City and Brentford star has been on Arsenal’s radar for several years and although he is now 29 years old, Arteta is reportedly eager to bring him to the Emirates Stadium later this year.

However, FootballTransfers understands that RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko remains Arsenal’s priority centre forward target, with the north London giants hoping to sign the Slovenia international ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
